I hope they can send them by the hundreds, thousands even. Just completely bomb an obliterate everything they can once the air defense systems are overwhelmed. Hit Putin’s stupid-ass mansion even if just for the headline. Send some near Moscow and St. Pete’s to send a message, too. The world needs to lose its patience for regimes that seek to spread evil and death. Russia isn’t going to nuke the US, fuck Putin’s red lines and Ukraine off the leash already. They are doing both the work and the suffering taking out the trash for the world. Since I’m ranting, lastly need to say that Russia needs to be completely defeated, held responsible, broken up and then restructured and built back up. Ask people like Kasparov, the only way to stop Russia from making war, undermining and destabilizing democracies, and trying to spread their miserable post-truth cynicism is if they are completely defeated.
At the pace of loss Ukraine can drag out this war for years before Russia reaches a major city. I assume the strategy is to massively increase production of long range weapons to hit Russian infrastructure and hammer their economy. Which is a good strategy as Ukraine can rely on the West for money while Russia has to rely on Russia. What I’d like to see is more economic targets being hit and less military, sure hit the weapon depots/expensive aircraft but what Ukraine really needs to hit is the economy because Russia is fine slowly rebuilding it’s military post-war but it needs it’s economy.
I do wonder if Ukraine is holding off on hitting certain things due to avoiding civilian targets but I thought by now that would be out the window as Russia has been fine hitting civilian power plants/buildings. At the very least Ukraine should be blowing up Russia’s energy grid in preparation for winter.
