It is amusing to see cheap media rags like Forbes use buzzwords such as “supersonic Jets” to describe fighter aircraft, as if it sounds impressive. We’re not living in the 1940s, it’s the 2020s now. Supersonic means flying Mach 1 or faster – this has been the norm since the 1950s ended.
I can’t think of any fighters in service which aren’t supersonic, except for North Korea’s MiG-17 clones, built in China in the 1960s. But there are only like 10% of the North Korean figher fleet, their main fighters are license-built MiG-19s and MiG-21s from China and Soviet originals.
