Yep. We have too many disgusting terrorist sympathizers, and the police are doing nothing about it so far.

  2. Difficult-Yam-1347 on

“In August 2024, a total of 125 Jewish institutions received bomb threats. The RCMP, Canada’s federal police, is investigating. The suspected arson attacks of Jewish targets is increasingly common, such as the firebombing of a Jewish school in Montreal in late 2023; the January 2024 arson of a Jewish delicatessen in Toronto; and the May 2024 arson attack of a Vancouver synagogue. In September, the RCMP, working with the FBI, arrested Pakistani national Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, residing in Ormstown, Quebec, foiling an attempted ISIS-inspired terrorist plot on Jewish targets in New York City for the October 7 anniversary.“

Sure, if you use facts it’s scary.

Because we don’t vet the people who come through. What about all the nazis we let in after ww2. Our country is restarted and We’re paying the consequences

Right wing Zionists conflating almost universal opposition to their violent ethno supremacist ideology with antisemitism in a desperate attempt to silence it.

Canada is just filled with hate in general these days. Have you seen all the top posts ripping on First Nations people? It’s like all the hate towards Indian immigrants has spread to everywhere.

    > CIJA has faced criticism due to comments made by staff through news outlets and via its social media accounts. In 2023, Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East criticized “provocative statements” made by CIJA Israel office Director David M. Weinberg. His statements make use of dehumanizing terms to refer to Arabs, Muslims, Palestinians, and human rights activists, calling them “weeds”, “snakes”, “barbarians”, and “terrorists”.[8][9]

    >CIJA also faced criticism when it lobbied against islamophobia Motion M103 in a Canadian parliamentary committee, just weeks after the Quebec City mosque shooting, together with B’nai B’rith Canada.[10]

Hey OP can we get a better source than an Islamophobic Israeli organization being shared by an Israeli propaganda arm?

  7. The irony of this post, followed by 3 other posts in my feed of how many civilians Israeli have killed recently. I wonder how ever could people be upset…

  8. Yes religious freedom has been strained in this country for quite some time now.

  9. Bottle_Only on

Are we still allowed to dislike all organized religions equally? Most conflicts in the world and most oppressive ideologies stem from religion.

  10. I am pretty cynical now that any verbal opposition to Zionism is conflated with anti semitism.

  11. StevenGrimmas on

    This picture is not cool.

However, when anyone who is against genocide is labeled as an antisemite, we have a lot of problems, and of course, it would like antisemitism is rising.

  12. CrowHead5906 on

Who thought that importing the worst of the Muslim world would increase antisemitism?

  13. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxs on

When you start calling any criticism of Israel’s horrific actions in the past year “antisemitism” it waters down the term. I’m exhausted with the pro-Israel propaganda on this sub

  14. Actual_Night_2023 on

Antisemitism or anti Israel? I see Jews often equating the two when they are very much not the same.

  15. anythigfast on

Antisemitism has no place in Canada, and Israel absolutely has a right to defend themselves from terrorists. That said, fuck Israel and their hateful right wing bullshit

For the longest time I called out the BDS people as jew baiters to their faces. They were often pretending to be nice socialists or union types but hate of groups begin with boycotts and segregation of the community as a prelude to terror. This is why Iran and other Muslim countries funded the BDS movement. I allowed them to generate a new generation of assholes.

More than one Green Party canvasser and supposedly well meaning student has been publicly treated to my verbal wrath. I always try to include a reminder that our greatest generation knew what to do with anti-semites in Germany.

  17. TractorMan7C6 on

Same issue as you get with the Chinese Communist Party – it’s perfectly reasonable to hate the CCP and think it’s an evil organization, but it’s never justifiable to extend that to random Chinese people. The Israeli government is carrying out a genocide and deserve all the criticism they get, but calling in a bomb threat to a Jewish school in Canada has nothing to do with that.

  18. Far_Rabbit_7093 on

yeah, most young people cut toxicity out of their lives by now. Landlords, overseas wars… just support your local band, grow your own veggies and clap back ferociously at anyone disturbing our peace

I watched the NBC, ABC and CBC broadcasts last night. CBC allotted way more time to the Hamas sympathizers than either of the US stations. They also focussed on children and babies being hurt which is a conscious, tilted editorial choice. The US coverage of the day mainly spoke about the concert massacre, the remaining hostages and the antisemitism. For the protests, they focussed on how the Jewish students felt scared on campus. One girl even wished that she did not attend Columbia and chose a different school instead. Note that ABC and NBC lean left, generally. CBC seems to be trying to shape public opinion again, rather than remaining unbiased.

The reason for this is more insidious than people like to admit.

Antisemitism has always existed on the right wing fringes and was rightfully monitored and vilified to the point it could not become mainstream.

The current events in the Middle East combined with some very strong disinformation campaigns has now added far left as an anti semitic group. The minute they accepted “brown” people as automatically disadvantaged and marginalized in a conflict that’s far too complex, they normalized jew hate. As long as you added some nonsense preamble of colonialism, power struggle , ethnoreligious supremacist state, you were cool to spout as much Jew hate as you wanted. Problem is that this particular group has literally codified antisemitism in their religious scriptures which they take as infallible to the point they think trees and rocks will tell them where Jews will hide so they can be found.

There have been protests against Canadian synagogues, fucking hospitals and senior citizen homes under this bullshit new left paradigm. Worse, not a single major “resistance for the people” organization has condemned this.

I really miss left wing politics of Jack Layton. You wouldn’t agree with him a whole lot but the man would have shut down the new left very quickly.

LoL I forgot how unhinged and reactionary this sub was. Enjoy the echoes.

  22. I grew up in a very Arabic part of the country and let me tell you, the antisemitism was always there.

  23. scottyarfburner on

It’s almost like when you let barbarians into your country, they’re going to act barbaric?!? Colour me shocked.

Mehdi Hasan put it best: Nothing justifies October the 7th, but October the 7th justifies everything.

  26. Appropriate_Car_3711 on

Similarly – in the UK, Anti-semitic incidents are up 119 percent in the form of attacks on Jewish property. Threats to Jews are up 264 percent – but the number is likely to be much higher according to the police of the Metropolis.

Jewish residents have begun fleeing the capital and 3 out of 4 feel “very unsafe”.

    Understandable.

I have spoken out on the dangers of Islamism for a long time and have often been dismissed.

The situation in the UK, through my observation is far worse than Canada – so, I believe it is imperative that Canadians do NOT allow Islamism, Jew-Hatred – or sectarian religious violence gain a foothold in Canadian cities.

Toronto, Montreal – I’m looking at you

  27. Front-Hovercraft-721 on

And where did all that anti semitism suddenly come from? It’s never been like that before, Canada has always welcomed people from all backgrounds, now Canada suffers for it.

  28. PatternMinimum4214 on

What a radical concept, you import an insane amount of people from countries where antisemitism is rampant and antisemitism skyrockets. Who could’ve seen that coming? Not the left I guess.

  29. butters1337 on

Criticism of Israel’s actions is not anti-Semitic. The more you accuse it, the less the words get taken seriously.

But of course I don’t expect “The Center for Israel and Jewish Affairs” to understand this.

We really need foreign agent registration legislation. Sick of all the bald-faced foreign influence operations running rampant in this country.

  30. TessaigaVI on

At my old job the antisemitism had skyrocketed. My friend in HR basically told me that our hiring team was told to avoid Jewish people when interview potential employees. Crazy shit.

We had these free palestine protestors in vancouver yesterday at 8pm. 1 don’t scream and yell at 8pm. downtown vancouver is residential. but 2. they don’t really care. if they cared they would be in palestine or israel protesting not in vancouver. ppl who cared put their neck on their lines. during korea’s revolt against japan ppl were getting shot on the street and they still protested. they were making temporary govt in harbin china smuggling weapons into korea to fight against the japanese doing guerilla warfare to win their country back. Korea isn’t the only example. magna carta, french revolution, the american revolution, bolshevik, the sacking of rome none of these came about by ppl who made excuses ‘but it’s dangerous’. they yell and scream about how much they care about palestine. but they don’t. these protestors only protest for show. they only want to show their moral superiority. the protestors at ubc who were camping for a few months left bc it got “hot”. yeah how much do you really care when you get a little uncomfortable you quit. i saw a under 21 ukrainian soccer player giving up his career and going back to his country to fight. he died. i saw many israelis going back to their country to fight. these ppl care. not these woke protestors who put themselves protesting on Instagram. they are just looking for a quick dopamine rush. they are just annoying ppl in a country 20000km away in safety that has nthng to do with the conflict.
