Oh no, live fact checking! The horror! What a fucking clown world we live in.

  2. ReifiedNothingness on

    > “A week ago, Trump backed out,” Pelley said. “The campaign offered shifting explanations. First, it complained that we would fact check the interview. We fact check every story.”

    Lies are all he has.

Election Day can’t come soon enough. Let’s fucking bury this traitorous fuck and move on from this shit

  4. >“They also insisted on doing live fact-checking, which is unprecedented,” he added.

Right because it’s also unprecedented that the interviewee will blatantly lie with every sentence.

He’s running scared. He is making several plans to disrupt the election by incitement of violence, and having State legislatures vote on slates of electors…bypassing voters. With the bought-and-paid-for Supreme Court to make rulings in his favor.

He is also making plans to flee the country if he fails.

  6. He was to busy trading political favors for money and hanging out with elite billionaires like Elon Musk

    Hypocritical Politician

  7. Static-Stair-58 on

That Nazi wannabe claiming that 60 Minutes was actually begging Trump to do an interview. These people are so disingenuous and soulless, they care nothing for our country. Woe to the vanquished if we lose in November indeed.

If you watched the 60 minutes program tonight, you got to see how Trump has literally brainwashed people into believing in him. I truly believe he might be the AntiChrist. He and his cult are pure evil.

  9. Senior-Proof4899 on

    Trump’s campaign knows the truth:

The more people see of Trump, the less likely they are to vote for him

60 Minutes has the receipts and they are not afraid to show them.

  11. > “It’s been a tradition for more than half a century that the major party candidates sit down with 60 Minutes in October,” Pelley said.

    > “60 Minutes begged for an interview, even after they were caught lying about Hunter Biden’s laptop back in 2020,” Cheung said when it was first announced Trump would not join the program. “There were initial discussions, but nothing was ever scheduled or locked in.”

Ya, I’m sure they begged you to do something that’s been done for 50 years. Fuck these losers.

“Steven Chueng”. This fucking guy. So tired of these awful people

  13. Fusion_allthebonds on

So Steven Cheung admits they’re lying. Scared of being “fact checked” AKA “called out on their BS.”

  14. Raspberries-Are-Evil on

Im sorry, CNN fact checking is, “well there is no evidence of that…anyway lets move on…”

They never fucking make them own it.

This is 60 Minutes, correct? It wasn’t that long ago that a CEO’s worst nightmare was to come to work with a 60 Minutes crew in their waiting room. Have things fallen this far?

    >“60 Minutes” offered a lengthy on-air explanation to viewers Monday for why former President Trump declined to participate in the program’s traditional interviews it has with presidential candidates ahead of the election.

    >The news program addressed the cancellation ahead of an interview with Vice President Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), as part of a prime-time special. In its opening segment, Scott Pelley, who was set to interview Trump for the same special, went into a detailed timeline about how Trump’s campaign at first agreed to appear then pulled out.

Meanwhile Harris’ interview went off with no problem. Though it seems weird there is little coverage of it.

Was Harris’ 60 Minutes interview that bad that Trump backing out is getting more attention?

Jesus Christ Donald Trump needs to be held on a 5150 psych hold. Enough of this insanity

  19. citizenjones on

Person being interviewed being asked to substantiate the answers to their questions is “fact-checking”.

It’s the evolution of “alternative facts”.

They want to stay their alternative facts and not have them questioned.

  20. Tigerhawk83 on

The opening dunk on Trump was glorious. Harris struggled in her interview, but Walz did great in his.

What sticks with me is the “big lie” takedown they dedicated the second half of the program to. It was deeply disturbing, and I hope it makes some conspiracy bandwagoners rethink what they’re doing and come back to reality.

  21. AnEvilMrDel on

I get it that some people just can’t vote democratic – but if you wanna get elected, maybe don’t put up a pathological liar / psychopath?

  22. KokonutMonkey on

    >“It’s been a tradition for more than half a century that the major party candidates sit down with ’60 Minutes’ in October,” Pelley said.

Lots of traditions went the way of the dodo under Trump. Peaceful transfer of power. Not throwing allies under the bus. Listening to the national weather service.  USA qualifying for the World Cup*

*Granted, I’m not sure how Trump’s behind that one. But I know he is!

  23. DanceCommander404 on

“You said there would be no fact checking!”

“We figured you would have more respect for us, if we were both liars.”

  24. Its getting bad, his lies are causing a lot of damage, especially in the hurricane areas. He isn’t even trying to campaign anymore really and win new voters, which means his plan is to steal the election.

  25. hamilton280P on

It’s actually smart on his part. The interview would only cause harm to his campaign and anyone dumb enough to vote for him wouldn’t watch it anyway

  26. Still-Wishbone-1469 on

Trump chicken shitting out on this interview is a disaster for his campaign. This will drive the entire news cycle for this week and is a terrible look for his campaign. Kamala was pretty mid for her interview but nobody cares because at least she sacked up and showed up. WTF are his campaign advisors doing?

  27. CompoteTotal4923 on

I still don’t get why he backed out, didn’t they completely softball the last traitors they interviewed? Why would it be any different this time?

  28. Sprinkles_115 on

What I would have liked to have seen since the Trump campaign bowed out of this interview with 60 minutes, would have been for CBS News and Scott Pelley to give the entire hour to Kamala Harris’ interview. I’m sure they had enough footage. Maybe taught Donald Trump there are consequences to making up excuses as to why he didn’t do the interview. I know that sounds Pollyanna and perhaps Donald Trump doesn’t learn any lessons in life, but it would have been just. She showed up give her the entire hour.

  29. Trash. These people are trash. Norm violating ersatz alpha dog TRASH.

Listen to trump’s ugly mouthed spokesman who never fails to deliver a nasty hit below the belt dig in every statement. I’m so sick of these poop stains messing up our dialogue, our country, our norms.

    Cheung:

“60 Minutes begged for an interview, even after they were caught lying about Hunter Biden’s laptop back in 2020,” Cheung said when it was first announced Trump would not join the program. “There were initial discussions, but nothing was ever scheduled or locked in.”
