      France is wrong.

      Despite what the doc says, it doesn’t account for civil partnerships in France (PACS). So no, 65% of children are not born out of wedlock.

      Good for them. Map legend suggestion, instead of red use green, this is a positive not a negative

      Probably related to the relevance of the institution of Marriage, I would guess these numbers will go hand in hand with how many marriages are there per year.

      In Hungary it used to be almost 50%, but the Orbán government made child benefits conditional on marriage, so the number of marriages skyrocketed.

      The interesting thing is the relatively low percentage of people in many countries often considered most progressive or atleast irreligious. The countries with the highest percentage are Mexico, Chile, Costa Rica and Argentina with about 80%.
