They won’t change shit, they don’t learn anything the entire party is nothing more than a grift. They’ll maybe start tearing themselves apart. I for one can’t wait….

Trumps running away with the money.

    Republicans have nothing. N O T H I N G

  3. OneGiantFrenchFry on

Do you think any of them will actually regret nominating a felon for president or will they just triple down in 2028?

  4. No they won’t. Trump will say the election was stolen again. There will probably be another coup attempt. Republicans will all say Kamala didn’t win. Trump will announce his 2028 campaign, will win the nomination, will lose again, say it’s rigged again, and then the third coup will happen.

  5. No they won’t. I mean, kind of like 2012 they might have about 5 minutes of wondering what they’re doing wrong, then it will be time to double down because clearly they didn’t double down enough last time.

There’ll be a reckoning either way because this country is not going to accept what they intend to do to us.

Trump will stay with the GOP until he dies to keep funneling its money into his pockets, and the election loss will make right wingers an angrier, tighter-knit and more loyal group. They will not learn from their mistakes because they make no mistakes — any loss is due to left-wing cheating.

We can only hope and pray that when Trump loses bigly, the voters don’t stop there. They need to show up in massive numbers to the midterm elections and vote out every single conservative in Congress and in their states.

    “Unprecedented reckoning”
That they will inevitably come to the wrong decision that they need to go full NAZI mode next election.

There is nothing further right than that.

A reckoning indicates anyone in that group has the ability to self-reflect. Nah. They’ll spend 5-10 years just blaming anyone else besides themselves for their predicament.

  11. Wait … What? … Where’s he going?… I thought he loved us?… Come back! …

Hitler failed his first coup attempt. Now Trump is ripping of Kristallnacht (Night of Broken Glass) from his idol. He’s telling people different things: “vote for me one last time and I’ll ‘fix’ voting so you won’t have to vote again” AND “I don’t need your votes, I have all the votes I need. ” There is something nefarious ongoing.

You might be right. I have a small thread of hope. He pays for his crimes.

    He’s fucked their party hard.

Not only is he taking all their money with him, but he tore down the veil.

People wouldn’t know about project 2025 without looking more into him.

He made some of them (pedo Gaetz, crazy mtg, hand job bobert) more comfortable publicly being their super shitty selves, putting a massive spotlight on them. The eest of the America now knows exactly what kind of people they are, and we won’t forget.

  15. >If Vice President Kamala Harris ultimately is inaugurated in January, a rudderless Republican Party will be forced — for the first time — to move on from Trump, who has said he will not seek the 2028 nomination.

And you take Trump at his word???

The author of this article is painfully naive. They envision a future where Trump loses, quietly retires from public life, all his followers come to their senses, and sane, trustworthy, establishment Republicans take back control of the GOP.

    What are they smoking??

Trump’s not going to go away quietly, and neither will MAGA.

Trump will remain the driving force in the Republican party until he’s dead or in prison for years.

Once Trump is gone, the MAGA base may lose focus, but they’re not gonna go away overnight.

There won’t be a post-Trump leadership vacuum that establishment Republicans will be able to walk in and fill; Instead, there will.be a brutal fight for the MAGA base. I expect the main contenders will be Josh Hawley, Tom Cotton, and the Trump children.

  16. Available_Ad9766 on

No they won’t. He lost four years ago. They’ll just double down on MAGA and think that the lesson learnt was that they weren’t extreme or violent enough.

It makes me wonder who the republicans will run next election, since he will be way too old.

Trump might lose, but the senate is leaning to likely republican control. The house is a toss-up, however, an early indication of a slight lean torward republican. Only about a dozen seats in the house are actually competitive this cycle. At the end of the day, it’s most likely that, at minimum, the Republicans will be in control of the Senate.

I agree nothing will change. Its not like the rapist pres is the only one thriving off feeding the cult lies and conspiracies. The base isn’t going to suddnly wisen up.

If Trump wins we will all face an unprecedented reckoning. It will not be good

  22. If Trump loses the Republicans will simply not admit it like they haven’t about him losing the last time.

  23. Please. Remember when they did the “autopsy” after Obama won. They determined they needed to do more outreach to bring minorities and women into the GOP Tent. 20 years later and they overturned Roe vs Wade and are as racist as ever. They will never change.

  24. They lost in 2020. They underperformed horribly in 2022. They still let him take the nomination. That reckoning will never come.

  25. Some real Shakespearian shit going down…I can’t wait to watch the ending.
