    1. 419,000sqft with less than 70 patient beds. How does that possibly make sense? I don’t work in medicine, but that seems low for the size and price tag…

I think they’ll also run into issues staffing this facility. I’ve finished a few canoe trips in Moosonee / Moose Factory before, and it’s a pretty rough place. Those remote northern communities aren’t for everyone, especially in the winter.

    2. It’ll be a great benefit for the area once this $3 Billion hospital is built.

Having been involved in building a few hospitals, good luck with the price and timeline given the location lol.

We really need to start building more infrastructure for it’s basic requirements.

When I was young, arenas were basically tin shacks that were heated and had very basic amenities in them. And ice time was abundant and affordable when *far* more Canadians were playing minor hockey.

This example can be used for everything now. I don’t see why everything needs to be a state of the art Taj Mahal.

    5. Why does it cost 2 billion to build a hospital?
We need more hospitals agreed. But who’s hands are getting greased here?
      Should not cost 2 billion!!
