    Alternative materials need to be found/ created that are more suitable. Companies are going to use whatever is cheapest/ easiest to use
    Punishing consumers for lack of innovation is not the way forward.

    The same way they lobby when the government talks about changes to advertising; limits on added sugar and fats, or on limiting the number of fast food restaurants near schools. Companies are not going to want to lose billions when they know a few hundred thousands in gift to a few dozen MPs will get them what they want.
