Wait, what?? There were multiple Kaaba’s?? Please explain.
They’re all just meteorites, right?
I always found the word “Kabaa” interesting.
In Hebrew the abbreviation קב”ה literally spelled out “Kaba” means “Holy Blessed One” refering to god. הקדוש ברוך הוא – The Holy Blessed One\Him or in tandem , “Blessed be the Holy One”
Masjidil Al-Aqsa was the original direction when Muslims pray. But later changed to Masjidil Al-Haram (which contains the Kaaba) in Mecca.
Pre-Islamic Arabian religions are extremely interesting to me. Especially their impact on Islam in general. I had no idea there were multiple kaabas
So basically Poneglyphs
Source? Or just bullshitting?
Muslims do not venerate or worship the Black Stone (**Hajar al-Aswad**), but they hold it in high regard due to its historical and religious significance in Islam. The Black Stone is located in the eastern corner of the Kaaba, the cube-shaped structure in the Grand Mosque in Mecca, which Muslims face during prayer.
The stone is believed to have been placed in the Kaaba by the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and his son Ismail (Ishmael) when they rebuilt the Kaaba as a house of worship dedicated to the one God. While touching or kissing the Black Stone during the pilgrimage (Hajj) or Umrah is considered an act of devotion, it is symbolic and not an act of worship.
The Prophet Muhammad emphasized that the Black Stone itself holds no inherent power or sanctity beyond its historical and symbolic role. Muslims believe that only God is worthy of worship, and the Black Stone is respected as a part of the sacred Kaaba, but it is not venerated as an object of worship.
How many of them are still intact today? (I assume none or very few) Also, seems there were a few more not shown on the map, for example of Dushara by the Nabateans or the Kaaba of Zoroaster in Iran (that’s still standing). It’d be funny to think that if Mohammed was born in Yemen or something, we’d be having a pretty neat looking red stone being circumambulated and kissed around instead of the (broken) black one.
What do you get when you collect them all?
