Nach meinen Recherchen gibt es in Finnisch-Lappland zwei Lemmingarten. Am bemerkenswertesten ist der norwegische Lemming, der in der alpinen Zone auf den Fjälls im tiefen Norden der Provinz Lappland lebt. Quellen sagen, dass es in Finnland alle 30 bis 35 Jahre zu einer der größten Lemmingansammlungen in allen arktischen Regionen kommt, wo sie in riesigen Mengen bis zum Golf von Bottnien und an die Südgrenze Lapplands wandern. Wann ist das zuletzt passiert? Ich habe Quellen gefunden, die über ein Ereignis in den 60er Jahren sprechen, aber ich konnte keine finden, die sich auf eine Zeit danach bezieht. Wissen, wann das letzte passiert ist, wann wird das nächste passieren? Weiß jemand auch, wie regelmäßig und in welchem Umfang kleinere Migrationen stattfinden?

According to Wikipedia the latest really big year was in 1970, followed by 1978 and 2011, which weren’t as extreme.

2020 is the only year I have seen them in lapland. Saw lots of them.
2011 was the previous one. Never felt so bad driving a car: just splat, splat, splat everywhere & roads were full of flat lemmings… 🙁
I was reading about these lately with the same question in mind as you, and unfortunately it seems likely that there will be no great lemming years anymore. One more unfortunate consequense from the climate crisis 🙁 (Although no more becoming a mass murderer of cute fluffy screechers)
