    Hey everyone!

Sorry for the weird formatting of this post.

I will be staying in the circled part of Tbilisi for a few weeks very soon.

Can anyone tell me what it’s like? I was initially going to stay closer to the city center (old Tbilisi), but I decided to stay away from the hustle and bustle and noise of it all.

Did I make a good decision?

I’m close to the metro station, so I don’t think getting to the city center will be a problem.

Thanks so much for the help!

Very good choice. I used to live nearby. It is a very good area. Access to metro is all you need to avoid traffic jams in the city.

Well, it’s not exactly a quiet neighborhood either. Something a lot of folks don’t realize coming to Tbilisi is that population density actually tends to go up the further away you get from the center, with Gldani, Varketili, Dighomi, and Saburtalo being the busiest and most densely populated parts of town. The center is still mostly low to medium density housing with a lot more mixed use spaces than the outer suburbs. It’s just busy in the center because everyone from the outer neighborhoods comes there to hang out with each other, plus there are a lot of tourists , expats, and Russians roaming around being very active
