      100% Agit Prop. This post is un-true, or mis-representation at best. Ask yourself, why in the immediate wake of this storm, a month before national elections, is a loud chorus of people trying to discredit the response as a failure WHILE ITS HAPPENING?

      I live in the affected area and right off the bat I know this is bullshit propaganda because there is way more than $750 being made available to disaster victims.

      Also look at the way they present the numbers. Grand totals for all the foreign aid. Supposed per-person numbers for FEMA payouts. Apples and oranges much? (Apples and fake oranges I should say because like I said even that 750 number is just one piece of the aid being provided. Probably an immediate cash stipend to help people cover immediate needs.

      People posting this stuff don’t care about helping anyone. They are not cheering on the first responders and bad assess putting their lives on the line to help people in an incredibly wild, remote, and complicated to access terrain. No empathy or understanding for neither the victims or the organizers and responders dealing with a ridiculously complicated and adctively evolving situation. Just bitching. All the time bitching. Not enough government aid for this. Too much government spending on that. An angel loses its wings every time I file my taxes. STOP THE COUNT! COUNT THE VOTE!

      Let’s be clear, this is the 3rd largest mobilization of federal resources behind 9/11 and katrina. OP and others like them are full of shit.

      They will set up shelters when the water levels drop. People will be able to get dry clothing and stuff then probably. I know it’s not much but 750$ is enough to feed your family for the month and buy a cheap battery, solar panel and charge controller. There really isn’t anything they can do except pluck people out of the water until the water levels go down.

      If we’re using the metric of $750 per person affected by the hurricane as a comparison, wouldn’t it make more sense from a graphical data standpoint to divide every other total by the population that it benefits?

      The crazy thing about this $750 is it’s not per person it’s PER HOUSEHOLD! Also many not stipulations about being very low income households that are not insured. It’s insanely sad.
