  1. The sound and the vibe of the song is too similar to deny, its a pity that this happened with yerin that usually doesnt get involved in fights like this

Listened to the intro and I can see why she called it out.

Thing that hits me is how extremely rare it is for a K-pop artist to call plagiarism on another Korean.

Normally it’s fandoms claiming some group from China/South America etc stole it

  3. this really sucks, good for Yerin to call them out, this album, Every Letter I sent you, is full of amazing songs. It’s a shame.

nah this isnt valid at all.. the only similarities is that theyre both slow acoustic vocal lead songs. thats it. half of ed sheerans music sounds like this.

EDIT: just went and checked the mv for what are we. all the comments are calling it a rip off. but also they were all posted in the last 8 hours? how come none of yall thought it was a rip off before yerin said so? netizens continue to just blindly follow everything their bias tells them with anger and rage. really disapointing.

I’m glad she had the courage and bravery to do this, you cannot deny the songs have similarities

    Yerin get behind me

(But for real, these types of situations remind me of the debate surrounding temp music in hollywood blockbuster movies. Composition just different enough for it to be okay legally but you’d be foolish to deny the influence the original artist or song had on the later track. 0310 and Every Letter I Sent You is too critically acclaimed in Korean music circles for it to not have played a role as inspiration at the very least for this OST)

  7. there are a couple of elements that are super similar, but most of the elements do feel quite different… hmm these things are always tough

regardless, good for her for standing up for her music — you have to wonder how much more she knows about the behind-the-scenes of this ost production to feel so confident saying this. looking at the two credited composers, okhan uenver has been cranking out various kpop projects for the last year but is definitely still new to the scene and whyminsu is more or less a rookie. hmm interesting…
