    What a revolting story.

We want police officers that react with cool judgment and proportionate force only where absolutely necessary. Not bullies in uniform.

Remember that saying ‘a few bad apples’? The whole saying is ‘a few bad apples *sour the whole barrel’*. Unaddressed incidents of brutality are warning signs for an unaccountable, out of control police force that will generate more Wayne Couzenses.

But why is the man homeless in the first place? Partly because working age men are at the back of the queue when it comes to social housing and receive barely any support.

It’s a really dark society where we pick a group to “take one for the team” so it’s easier to house children and the elderly and then physically abuse them for being in the wrong place.

Ultimately the Nimbys are to blame for this as for so many other things.

I think the only solution is we have a big house building drive where you can go to your council and object if you want.

And then we get all the names of everyone who objects to other people having housing … And eat them.

You can tell we have very mild police enforcement in this country when this is held up as an example of brutality.

  4. > The force said the officer’s actions were “wrong” but that there would not be any disciplinary action after having been reprimanded and given training.

Imagine needing training to know you shouldn’t stomp on someone lying on the ground, disgusting tbh. [(Original BBC article on this)](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-68474637)
