This is hardly surprising. I could be seeing things wrong, but it really seems like our society has taken a hard turn towards glorifying terrorists and encouraging antisemitism. Violence is inevitable.

My wife works at a Jewish school. Since January there’s been 4 bomb threats, 2 intruders and a few phone calls from mentally ill people.

The bomb threats were traced to a 4chan kid in Seattle.

1 intruder was severely mentally unwell and the other accessed the parkade but caused no damage and was removed but not charged.

The phone calls ranged from calling people murderers to screaming about George Soros and Trudeau.

The question these days with so much hate directed at Jewish people is; where will the next attack come from.

    >Marked Secret and Canadian Eyes Only, the intelligence reports downplayed protests and university encampments as national security threats, but said a strike by a radicalized individual was a more likely scenario.

    >The documents come as ISIS has been trying to reassert itself since its 2019 defeat in Syria, and capitalize on the Middle East conflict to incite followers to carry out attacks against Jews.

Meanwhile, you know who’s been fighting ISIS for the past decade plus? Iran.

For anyone who needs another reminder how confusing our policy in the ME is.

We toppled Saddam leading to ISIS. Later to topple Assad the US funds Islamic extremist groups (aka.. US terrorist proxies as people like to call them when it’s Iran), which *surprise* led to ISIS gaining prominence in Syria which then put us in the uncomfortable position of letting Iran take on the monster we helped create for us.

We act like there isn’t an entire region of this world, where anti-semetism is culturally and politically engrained in every aspect of society, and is the prevailing norm rather than taboo.

Then we massively increase the immigration from that region, seemingly with little checks or balances, or any kind of test on compatibility/adaptability to Canadian culture and society. Do little to work on integration, chastise anyone that questions others cultural practices, social norms, religious attitudes as “racist” or “xenophobic” and then are surprised when all of a sudden we have a huge group of people in this country who are openly anti-semitic, hostile towards Israel and Jews and increasingly prone to violent acts against those groups of people in Canada.

The recent anti-Israel sentiment due to their current conflict has only emboldened this group to be more open about their pre-existing views and opinions towards this group. But its nothing new.
