Still stunning that it took them 2 whole years.
I feel for the remaining citizens though. Russians will definitely not treat them well.
It took Russia 2 years to take a town of 14,000 people and they had to raze it to the ground in order to do so. It will be 20 years for them to take Ukraine at this rate and they won’t have the men or supplies to keep this going.
They should make Russian’s live where they dropped all those leaf mines. All this war to what avail?
The beginning of the end. Russia is slowly winning a war of attrition against Ukraine and the collective funding of the west
Nothing strategic about Vuhledar, that is Russian misinformation. It’s just a town that gained notoriety because they couldn’t capture for 2 or 3 years. It is a fortress or a stronghold however.
Ugh. More needs to be done for Ukraine. This no matter how we sugarcoat it is not a good thing. Hopefully Ukraine has better fortified positions that they can continue to grind down the Russians.
That’s a pretty slow advance for Russia if that is where it is at
Supprised no one is claming this is a false claim
The slow attrition war looks to favor Russians as expected. There is a slow creeping doom, but I hope things change. I hope Europe as well as US also step up a bit more.Â
do we even know what does “strategic” word mean? i feel like it is a buzzword now
Hang in there.
Russia’s equipment stockpiles are depleted of anything modern and usable. They’re unable to refurbish most of what’s left into anything capable of working on a modern battlefield. The satellite imagery of their reserves shows how close they are to being unable to field replacements. Ukraine is trading land for Russian equipment losses, and the strategy has been very successful. Moscow at this point is desperate for a ceasefire before they have to leave gaps in their artillery coverage of the front.
The only silver lining is they lost 800 vehicles taking thia town
Ukraine is slowly losing ground it seems
Ukraine just stocking up long range missiles at this.point
Let’s hope Ukraine finds a way to turn the tide faster than thatt
“Strategic” …
“Stronghold”…
I’m not sure either of these apply, lol.
What exactly makes Vuhledar “strategic”?
That is like 2 days in ruSSian years.
I’m afraid Ukraine has lost the Donbas for the time being. It’s just too dug in
So…….Russia captured a ghost town that’s in ruins?
There is nothing strategic about this town. lol
Not good news, all these land losses will be lost forever
Ukraine’s allies must understand that Russia will not stop unless forcibly halted. And this requires not only military assistance but also political efforts to prevent Russia from advancing.
Otherwise the war will continue as long as Russia (and Ukraine) has resources..
Once all the Russians get inside the perimeter bomb it, take it back.
At what cost….
they spent a lot of blood to get that too
Vladimir will call over the weekend to thank you for your help in this unpleasantness. You’re a big help and he appreciates you having his back.
