  1. Just tried to post the same article as I had not seen this post, but why has this not hit more mainstream media yet aside of BBC outside of Germany? I would just have expected Reuters, CNN, etc. already having reported on it.

Also, why is someone who’s a medical student: 1. allowed to board a plane after being in contact with someone infected? and 2. Stupid and careless to do it regardless?

The fact he made it first on a plane, and then subsequently a train…

“There are no approved vaccines or treatments for this deadly virus, which has a fatality rate of up to 88 percent.”

So far 26 cases with 8 death in Rwanda.

“When the high speed train reached Hannover station, the virus already mutated into the Alpha-E variant”

It’s spread via unprotected sex or broken skin. So I am 50% save.

    Marburg Virus

From a BBC article on it:

    >”Many people go on to bleed from various parts of the body, and some die eight to nine days after first falling ill, because of extreme loss of blood and shock.”

    🤢

    And

    >”Even after people have recovered, their blood or semen can remain infectious for many months afterwards…Men who have had the virus should use condoms for a year after the onset of symptoms or until their semen tests negative for the virus twice…People should also avoid contact with pigs in areas with an outbreak, says the WHO”

Even more reason to be careful when ppl are sleeping around with others.
