      Not saying it doesn’t happen, but I am skeptical that this is part of the reason why there’s a strike happening at the docks.

      On the bright side, they were heard screaming. Hopefully they were saved and it’s not true. I wouldn’t say unheard of though. Whenever some fuckery is afoot with shipping containers or ports reminds me of the containers in la filled with 17,000 dead babies.

      Isn’t this whole election built around the pipe dream of ‘building the middle class’

      wtf do people think a $145k salary is. That’s suppose to be the middle class. If you’re under $100k you’re essentially poor. You’re not middle class. Especially if that salary is in a high expense state.

      No one wants the middle class to establish itself unless it directly impact them. If their job isnt demanding greater pay, no one should get it.

      Who is Eli Weber and what makes him a reliable source? Not saying this isn’t happening, but it doesn’t make much sense. Why would workers strike over this? Why not go to the police or the press? A lot of dock workers have been interviewed for both local and international news, and I’ve seen a lot of workers making videos on their own explaining the strike. Why are they not mentioning it?

      Part of the reason workers go on strike is to call attention to the issues they’re raising. So why is no one talking about it?

      No, Let’s wait for a contract negotiations to bring this up. And then show no real proof that this is happening.

      I looked up Eli Weber to see who that is because I’ve never heard of them and it appears that no one has lmaooo. I can’t find anything about anyone named Eli Weber claiming to have heard this.

      Also I haven’t worked a ship so I can’t speak on it but I’m not sure what barriers would stop dock workers from checking the shipping containers if they heard screaming. Unless the conspiracy is that there are men on boats actively enforcing them to not search in which case I think they wouldn’t be able to keep that a secret for very long.

      This has got to be bullshit. There is no way every person on shift would ignore screaming people in a container and then stupidly complain about it later.

      So the people shipping *checks notes* children in shipping containers (24-35 days by sea), don’t soundproof these containers. I can soundproof a container for like $400. Or gag them. Or tranq them before port.

      Do they open these containers up at sea to feed these kids?

      So the dockworkers said this: “we’re striking for better pay because *checks notes again* we hear screaming children.”

      With the amount of human trafficking/organ harvesting going on some of these containers absolutely contain humans and organs.

      Judging from the interview I saw with their Union leader, they don’t care about anything other than their paychecks. Fucking guy flat out says he doesn’t give a shit what damage they do to the country. Meanwhile, the guy reportedly makes almost 7 figures.

      So I can’t say it not happening but my BIL is a dock worker and that’s never happened to him in more than fifteen years.

      They want higher wages, health insurance, retirement. Just the basics.
