Amazon lost money for years and years. For the LLM boom, OpenAI has a lot more competition than Amazon did in the early days of the internet.
Pre-revenue. ROI, Internet Radio.
I mean, they’re getting a shit-fuck-ton in external funding. They’re likely spending as much of it as possible on infra and making their offering as solid as possible before that funding runs out. The fact that they have nearly $4bn in revenue is crazy.
This is much more revenue and less loss than expected.
These are great numbers for such an early stage project. Should they IPO, it’ll likely be the biggest of my lifetime.
