      Both headlines aren’t great but Intent matters.

      Russian stated goal was to occupy and annex eastern Ukraine.

      Isreal as far as I can tell isn’t looking to occupy Lebanon, just to degrade hezbollah to a point where they don’t pose a threat.

      The people in Crimea and Donetsk, most of them native Russians, voted to join Russia.

      No one in Gaza wanted to join Israel, now they’ve been pushed out what lands they had left.

      They use quotes around special military operation because that is the exact words Putin used because he didn’t want people saying war. He made it illegal to call it a war, it’s a quote. The Israel article isn’t quoting anything a person said, thus no quotations. Basic English OP.

      No, the difference is Lebanon has been lobbing rockets into Israel daily for a year.
