I was waiting to see if any other outlets would jump on this as well so I could use a non-paywalled article but I don’t think we’ll see CBC, CTV, or Global until later today since they’re probably waiting for comments.
But oh my God. I can’t say too much shocks me in the realm of politics anymore but this may be one of the most shocking and uneducated statements that I have ever seen. To do it in a writ period is baffling.

In case anyone was wondering how the provincial campaign is going, this story is being covered by a former-Irving-now-PostMedia outlet, so one imagines things are going poorly in the imploding PC tent.
Higgs has said he won’t pull Wilson as a candidate because she deleted the post. Que sera sera.

Can’t read the statement because of the paywall but holy shit the comments on here about the federal LPC and CPC are a bit much. Comparing the CPC/LPC to cyanide/Coca-cola and the utter denial of the LPC’s chances at reelection. A CPC government is not some disaster that will destroy Canada, they will take over, come up with some replacement for the carbon tax and hopefully do something about housing and immigration. Nothing much will change, touch some grass people.
We are going to have a CPC government and almost certainly a majority. This is not some random jump in the polls, its steady across all polls for a year now and barring some huge scandal with the CPC that wont change. They will be in power somewhere between 4-10 years depending on their performance and the economy in general and life will go on.
