You should be able to find the router even if there was no internet whatsoever. Make sure you know what the issue actually is.
Did you also pay for internet connection or does your apartment have a standard connection?
I’d recommend asking from Telia since they might need the number behind the modem to make sure the configuration is correct etc.
Just to make sure that you have ordered the internet from Telia also?
Cable modems also need to be linked to the internet connection subsciption using their I think CM MAC address, so if the people at Telia didn’t do that when you bought the device you need to still call them to check that it is linked. Been a while since I needed to do this so it might be nowadays possible to do via internet.
Edit: also at least in the past taking a brand new modem in use could take somewhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour when it was doing all kinds of start up set ups.
If you just plugged it in, it might be fetching updates, I would wait around 30 minutes to see if the lights turn solid. You can also read their documentatiton here: https://www.telia.fi/asiakastuki/laitteet/technicolor-cga4236-kaapelimodeemi
Just translate the site to english
Do you have TV? If yes the signal is getting through, now it’s time to set up internet. Follow instructions in the box. If problem persist ring helpline 🙂
I would connect the modem to the computer with a cable and try accessing the [settings](https://help.comporium.com/s/article/How-Do-I-Update-the-WIFI-settings-for-my-Technicolor-CGA4236-modem).
And read the [manual](https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1451695/Technicolor-Cga4233.html) – maybe you need to press the WiFi button to turn it on or something.
This is always such a hassle. I gave up. You can share wifi from many smartphones. So if you can afford a 4G plan then forget about household routers etc. altogether. They never work…
