      Yes, it’s increasing every year. I also got an extra 5% to deal with inflation.

      Lol. My wife’s salary increased by 5000 yen per month but then had her bonus whacked by 3% so very little net gain.

      Yes, but slowly.

      I don’t really expect salary increases to catch up to the current round of inflation though, since the economy is still crap at its core. This isn’t the early 90’s when inflation was happening because people could afford to pay but rather due to higher expenditures for manufacturing and logistics.
      But as with any economic event it will eventually come to an end when people just can not afford things anymore or the economical landscape improves
