  1. What nonsense. Apart from anything else, no need to heat the whiskey. And it needs brown sugar with the whiskey

Here lads did we actually invent this or is it just “Irish” because there is whiskey in it?

Americans fkn love this drink. I noticed this in several places in Ireland

  4. Rather watch this guy than that old lad in America making the 20 of them on the bar sticking his fingers into the cream and spilling whisky, water and coffee everywhere.

Really neat way to serve it,

only time I’ve ever had one was in Greece with my family and istg the bartender made everyone else’s normal but put 3/4 of a mug of whiskey in mine and watched me the whole time.
Dunno what he was at, it’s a rank drink anyway

As a native man of Ireland, I have never had an Irish coffee. What sort of Irish person drinks coffee and cream. Cup of tae and a whiskey, in separate glasses is the only way

  7. My granny would always heat the glass first 💯, makes a big difference, esp to the cream, stays in place

    Simple method is.

Heat the glass, add Irish measure of Irish whiskey, spoon of brown sugar, stir while adding fresh brewed coffee, top off with fresh whipped cream (not from a can)
