Wolf-Rayet 134 processed to mimic the HOO Hubble Palette
This was my first proper attempt at processing with PixInsight. (I have less than 10 days of my free trial and so far I’ve produced one image).
Unfortunately, I was unable to get my actual target to show up as it should, so this attempt wasn’t technically successful, but I’m somewhat pleased with the final result. I will revisit this target sometime in the future when I have better equipment to give it justice.
The region centres on WR 134, a Wolf-Rayet star located in the constellation Cygnus, and the Crescent Nebula (NGC 6888), a prominent emission nebula formed by the powerful stellar winds of a massive star. This area is rich in ionized gas, producing striking emissions from hydrogen (Hα) and oxygen (OIII), which glow red and blue, respectively. The interaction of stellar winds with the surrounding material creates intricate filaments and structures, making it visually dynamic and scientifically significant.

CC/processing tips are welcomed!
Here I was thinking how beautiful this is, and how I cannot comprehend the vastness of space where this exists. Then I read how you created this image and the complexity of it, and it makes me want to learn.
