I was probably around 6 when I saw A Night To Remember on TV with my folks. That one hit me hard. I remember bawling over all the lost people.

Maybe he cried because he felt bad for jack, when he realized there was space for him on the “door”…

I mean, let’s consider the facts.
1. He now understands why his friends say his mom is hot.
2. He had to watch his mom play a spoiled teenage girl whose actions got a man killed. Then she spends her whole life pretending to love another while secretly wishing to be with her true love………. What an asshole.
3. He had to sit through three hours of James Cameron dialogue.
I’d cry too.

Two memories- 1) my mom trying and failing to cover my eyes when Kate showed her breasts (first movie nudity, I’ll never forget!)
2) me asking my mom why so many actors would be willing to die just to make a movie. I thought every death was real and their commitment to their art
