Ursula von Der Leyen’s vendetta to avenge her pony continues. Shameful.
    Edit:
At least in the Netherlands almost all livestock kills by wolves happen on farms that haven’t taken protective measures, like better wolf-proof fences. Article in Dutch: (title in English means Sheep that are attacked by wolves are almost never well protected)

In many areas wolves are inbreeding with stray dogs, and the new mix is both aggressive and unafraid of humans.

We have a lot of wolfs in Romania and bears, we respect them and they respect us 🙂 it’s that simple

    Science and biodiversity?

What science says that a species that is rapidly growing and gaining territory is still critically endangered and requires strict protection?

Official figure in Poland is 4600 wolves. Official figure in eu is around 20 000.

Wolves in Poland take dogs out of porches, kill calves in cowsheds, in some places decimate wildlife. Is that biodiversity we have to live with?

Is this how we should “coexist” with wolves? https://imgur.com/a/otrgCKy

The change is not open season on wolves, it’s just a change from “strictly protected” to “protected” status which means wolves can be killed where there is too many of them or where particular ones cause a lot of damage.

They need to be controlled. Are we forgetting that we wiped them out for a reason?

Not advocating we do that again but uncontrolled population growth is clearly not a good thing.

Wolves harm livestock, homesteads, they are hunted, their numbers go down.

Their numbers drop dangerously low, preservation efforts are included, wolf hunting becomes banned/heavily regulated.

    Their numbers recover.

    Wolves harm livestock, homesteads..

Normally the cycle would continue or maintain a healthy equilibrium, but leave it to reddit retards who’ve never seen a cow irl to be outraged and manufacture “discourse” about some biodiversity and green preservation efforts they know nothing about.

I read an article the other day which mentioned how the Greek government was considering reintroducing lions into northern Greece. Very interesting read.

Finnish media has been full of stories of wolves eating from bins and dumpsters , attacking dogs and people not letting their children out . Then wolves eating sheep or something like that. Those may be individual cases or issues limited to certain locations. Apparently very well motivated animal rights activists have successfully employed the legal system to make shooting even troublesome individuals very difficult if not impossible. That situation hurts wolves protection and acceptance of wolves in my opinion. Poaching or illegally killing wolves has been an issue but seems to be more and more successfully mitigated. I think this is necessary . I am okay shooting wolves if the situation is balanced. The numbers are increasing. Those animals are not stupid. They will learn fear of humans so there are less conflicts.

  10. Fucking von Der Leyen trying to protect her stupid ponies. We need wolves! Please come and hunt those Racoons, street dogs, cats and whatever invase species there is.

3 wolfs killed in a car ‘incident’ just yesterday in the Netherlands (they want to check whether or not the intent was in place).
