I knew I should’ve taken today off to put my storm shutters up. Hopefully, the weather will hold out in the morning. This new climate change-fueled super-fast intensification of hurricanes is insane. I figured those of us in the Tampa Bay Area would get some wind and rain, that the storm would pass as a Category 1 or 2 at worst, but even with the more westerly track, it still looks like it could be a bad few days. It’s 10:30pm on Wednesday now and very little rain and no wind to speak of….yet.

Jesus… this has potential for a lot if damage and lives lost. I truly hope they are over predicting damages and it’s not as they state.

Gee, looks like it’s heading to the heart of Republican territory (The Floribama coast). Maybe if they keep denying Climate Change, it will cease to be.

Good thing Desantis banned climate change so storms can’t be that bad anymore and he definitely won’t be demanding Fed / FEMA resources for increasing storm activities since climate change is no longer recognized

Do you want us to turn on “the faucet” in British Columbia and flush the hurricane out to the Atlantic for you?

Tough times here. Had a tornado come through my town a few months ago. The buildings downtown finished repairs this week to allow them to open back up, and now, even though it’s shifted slightly away, we’re right on the edge of hurricane/tropical storm weather to hit us in the middle of the night tomorrow.
And my cousin gets married Saturday in St. Simon’s Island, so you know, bummer for her.

The worst part about it is that it may cause many Floridians to move inland near the rest of us.
