I would bring several cameras including some with film.

  2. I can see this being safer and more achievable and attractive for space “tourism “

100 000 feet? So around 19 miles up. Don’t want to be the negative nancy here but that’s hardly “space” by essentially all definitions.

    >It’s sold 1,800 tickets so far and raised $100 million from investors and venture capital funds.

Let’s go, hope these balloons are here to stay!

Better to go that way than the deep dark tomb of the Titanic wreck.

  6. This might be a hot take, but I think if a balloon can take you there it’s not space – in fact that’s pretty much my informal definition of space.

  7. i used to dream of seeing the earths curvature and the stars in a u2. pipe dream. this is plenty pricy but maybe maybe. seems like a ‘lowtech’ mechanical/propulsion which is fine by me 1000x. wish them all the luck to make into a functional business.

Honestly the more ways there are for billionaires to die in experimental transportation the better.

🤡 Brought to you from the same folks that built the Titan submersible! 👀

Imagine if these millionaire adventures would make it a requirement for 15% of the ticket price to go towards helping the homeless and the hungry in any country of their choice, what a much better place this planet would be. Also, the rich wouldn’t be as hated as they now are for being selfish and narcissistic (looking at you Elon).

Honestly, $125k isn’t bad. If they pare it with skydiving that could be really cool. The Red Bull commercial stunt was at 125000 feet. Now a big budget one off is doable for literally tens of millions of people if it’s worth it to them.
