Weird how smooth the justice system flows with a judge who isn’t explicitly and very visibly bought and paid for by the defense.

  2. “Trump’s legal team, which includes Todd Blanche and John Lauro, have continually argued in recent weeks that such a brief would be “incredibly unfair” to Trump so close to the election.”

Maybe that dumb asshole shouldn’t have had his lawyers delay the trial for so long.

a “win”??? Really? He filed a large motion detailing every fact and the evidence supporting it because trumps paid-for SCOTUS made a ruling hamstringing him. Now the judge has to go through EVERY detail and rule on each one individually, with trump filing motion after motion to dismiss or reject evidence, etc. Then after the judge says “We can work with this, this this, not this, that,” etc… trump will take it to the SCOTUS and they will rule in his favor. This whole process will take years.

But, yeah… a “win” for keeping up the fight.

Things always seem to get close, only to have the rug pulled out from under us every time. 24 hours or so to go and maybe we get to see something really damning.

SCOTUS did not expand presidential immunity. Its ruling did nothing other than to say presidents are immune from “official presidential acts” which has always been the law. What SCOTUS did *not* do was define “official presidential act.” In the opinion, Judge Roberts stated: “presidents are not above the law.” He went on to say that the Jan 6 case could move forward as long as it pertained to dump’s acts as a private citizen. Trying to overturn an election that he lost would not be an “official presidential act.”

EDIT: Love down errors for posting the truth. This is not an opinion, it is part of the scotus ruling, they said it…

  6. Let’s all hope that the 180 page brief lays out the most damming evidence quite clearly. Yes, the wheels of justice will be clogged, but at least the facts will be presented for the American public. There will be no Bill Barr to distort and defying the evidence.

Trump’s legal team, which includes [Todd Blanche and John Lauro](https://newrepublic.com/post/185640/donald-trump-lawyers-argument-january-6-trial), have continually argued in recent weeks that such a brief would be “incredibly unfair” to Trump so close to the election.

Cry me a river about it being so close to the election! The GOP’s last minute attempts to change the electoral college rules in Nebraska and the eleventh hour change to hand count votes in Georgia are somehow okay?

    Trumps lawyers: “delay delay delay.”

something coming out close to the election.

Also Trumps lawyers: “no, not like that!”

How many more wins before Trump goes to trial for his actions almost 4 years ago?
    Asking for a country.

  10. And literally none of it matters, bc if he wins it’s all moot.

All this shit needed to be a year ago.

If Garland had not been Trump’s inside man, this would have been adjudicated already and he would have been locked up and made ineligible by 14a Article 3 along with a lot of Republicans.

Or run for office. Ya know if he pleaded guilty and said he’d never run for office again he wouldn’t go to jail over any of this. But HE CAN’T HELP HIMSELF. he’s a psychopath.

IMO these accusations have a powerful relevance to an election. The monster we are we voting AGAINST is being factually exposed Hopefully 🤞

  14. Patriotic Americans need to vote against Trump so he cannot evade the massive amount of criminal charges forthcoming, not to mention those for which he has already been convicted of. If Trump wins there is no doubt he will pardon himself and get away with some of the greatest frauds and criminal violations of our laws. We just cant let that happen. Jack Smith is going to give Trump an epic prosecution that will make Trump and several other family members pay for their crimes. Dont let them get away with it. Americans, all parties, vote, specifically vote Harris. Protest no voters and write ins will work for Trump. We have a great country and this is a time in our history we’re an election becomes critical to our democracy. Let’s not elect Trump. Let’s let Jack Smith do his work.

If Comey can announce reopening the email case against Hillary a week before the election, I don’t think they have a leg to stand on when it comes to complaining. (Won’t stop them from jumping up and down screaming about how unfair it is when it goes against them.)

This, imo is his worst crime by far. He was trusted with our most secret documents, and he violated that trust. He needs to be taken to Gitmo and enhanced questions until he tells the entire truth about it.

Jack Smith probably be the first to tell you he hasn’t won shit until sentencing.

  18. Trump is the kid who has been asking to delay his book report and then is mad that it is too close to the day of the field trip.

    Meh

Trump is allowed to litigate and appeal every single little piece of every case, forever and ever and ever.

    None of this matters.

There will never be an end to any of these cases, because Trump is allowed to question and litigate and endlessly appeal. Every single part of every single case forever. He can just take apart these cases and litigate each piece. And if he loses, he can appeal. And if he loses the appeal, he can appeal it again. All the way up to the Supreme Court that worships him, and always rules in his favor. So he’s never going to lose.

It doesn’t matter how tough Jack Smith is, or how smart he is, or how many resources he has. As long as the Supreme Court is the Supreme Court, Trump will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever lose.

    He will always win.
