Russia needs to come to the realization that their Black sea fleet is doomed to extinction. Even if an armistice is signed, it’s unlikely they will ever be allowed to navigate those waters freely again.
Also legitimate to attack air bases in Belarus if Russia is using them to attack Ukraine.
I do not think Ukraine hinted at anything I am sure they spelled it out in large letters and said they would target the base.
Time for Russia to have some more “submarines” courtesy of Ukraine!
Doubt that Ukraine has yet made an explicit decision to strike the new naval base. No need yet, until Russia posts significant naval forces.
However, the mere possibility that Ukraine *might* attack means Russia must allocate air & sea defenses, in short supply needed elsewhere.
The article mentions Russia has not yet dredged the harbor, which means deep draft (large vessels) can not yet use it.
