I know that destroying the missiles / rockets in flight is better than having them impact, but I’ve always wondered what it’s like after — when all the debris is falling from the sky. I still remember older footage that showed a giant piece falling down. Are there special considerations they implement to prevent casualties from that?

Is there a difference in explosions between when a missile is intercepted or when the SAMs self-detonate? I mean, are we just looking at the fired Iron Dome missiles blowing themselves up?

This makes appreciate the technology so much – and also to never trust the doomsayers – they talked about hitting a bullet with a bullet being impossible and look at us now!
