The BBC one seemed to be only factual, things like news stories and sports results. ITV had one with other things, including a supposed diary of a teenager, which was nothing like Adrian Mole’s secret dairy.
Pre internet it was useful. My parents used to check the weather and things like the lottery numbers.

I only ever used teletext to play Bamboolzed when I was young
Many hours wasted on the 600 pages with the general chats, music chats, and music reviews. They updated 1x a day so it was a whole event. Also, charts.
This has been all over Radio Stoke all day. Love it, made me smile. Fond memories of grandparents using it

Remember watching Test Cricket with my brother before school on Ceefax. I think Mum felt bad for us both and thankfully gave into getting sky Sports!
