      She saw the blowback from her comments and is doing damage control. A coworker of mine is a HUGE Janet fan, and when she saw the original comments, she was in crisis mode.

      Janet didn’t release any apology. Those were her manager’s remarks speaking on her behalf in a statement. Why? It would take no effort for the comments to be released as a statement by Janet, herself. Is having the apologetic remarks be attributed to her directly somehow beneath her? Poorly handled.

      it’s a shame because i happened to become a janet fan this year and i was hoping she’d have some sort of viral moment to help people recognize what a great catalgoue she has. but this is definitely not the kind of virality i was thinking of.

      Someone’s ethnicity isn’t up to anyone…Racial/genetic makeup is a fact. We all are the combination of our parents and ancestors biological makeup. This bothers me because she sounds like she only watches conservatives/conservative news/Trump’s BS!

      It would literally take 2 seconds to learn the truth. More importantly, both her parents became incredibly accomplished despite being immigrants to this country. They deserve the respect they have rightfully earned. Garbage like this is just horrendous. An apology just doesn’t cut it.
