Many people will be quick to blame the movie studio here, which is understandable. But what are they going to do when people can make movies, the same quality as those in theaters, in their bedrooms for a few thousand dollars? That day is rapidly approaching.

I’m surprised the issue of AI replacing jobs has not become more prominent in the current US presidential election. I expect that won’t be the same in the next one.

Pretty soon making a movie will just be taking back and forth with an AI.

Why should I bother to watch a movie that a human couldn’t bother to make? Same thing goes for all these AI books plaguing places like Amazon.

We’re gonna have a really hard years ahead with lots of shitty movies and games in general.

I mean it’s already harder and harder to get quality, but I don’t know. Art made by AI isn’t necessarily bad, but it is soulless.

Take someone who works in a field and is passionate about it and someone who’s in just for the money. Is the same with AI, the AI will never have passion or that artist touch.

And the sad part is that A LOT of people won’t even notice the difference or even care.

  5. Lionsgate isn’t going to be an entity in 5 years anyways so they might as well stoop to the absolute lowest and go out with a whimper.

I remember Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow the first all CGI backdrop movie, people stated it was the end of traditional movie making that no more movies would be shot on site that the future is CGI.

We are still filming on location, also we are using a lot of CGI as well, it never took over it was incorporated into traditional movie making.

The same with AI its not going to replace anything, film making and everything else will absorb AI and use it as its meant to be nothing more than a tool.

Basically, they want no expenses with a full payout. That’s what every industry wants even retail. Just make everything robots. All that will lead to is war.

  8. Can’t wait for AI to rebel and take vengeance on all the greedy billionaires fucks that wanted to exploit it to steal even more money from the population

it’s shitty that people are going to lose jobs but when it comes to AI making movies, as long as it’s interesting and enjoyable to watch, i don’t care if a movie is 100% created by AI. same with music. talented people will always be around to create amazing art regardless of how technology progresses so it’s really not that big of a deal.

I really hate all the AI generated trailers popping up on YouTube… but I still click them every now and then. Though if I look at all this through a Star Trek lense, isn’t this kind of the earliest form of a holodeck simulation? I mean that like out cell phones in comparison to the communicators they use in Star Trek.

  11. Great! I look forward to in the same term a much larger group of people being able to make there own movies
