Let’s see if this moron can kill the Golden goose.
Elon has never found a government agency he did not want to sue….
Good luck with that, the arrogance is palatable from Elon…
What scares me is this going to the Supreme Court, which would absolutely have his back on taking regulations apart.
Just imagine if Trump wins and this miscreant heads up the ‘Department of Efficiency”. I’m sure only wonderful things will happen.
I mean after Loper Bright, this will be a strong challenge, unfortunately. Amazon Kuiper will be winners no matter the outcome. Crazy times
“How dare they hold me accountable for the regulations I violated”.
Musk also filed a lawsuit against the NLRB claiming the agency is unconstitutional. Seems like the new playbook is to just file lawsuits against every single agency you don’t like and claim that their powers aren’t explicitly outlined.
They fined him $140k for putting clean water on the launch pad without a permit in a place known for torrential downpour pours and hurricanes.
This man should definitely be given the power to cut the funding of federal agencies in the name of government efficiency. He would in no way use it to protect his own business interests from prosecution.
How is the US supposed to be competitive in space when there’s countless land mines, red tape and bureaucracy to cross through? We don’t bat an eye to the test ranges all sorts of missiles and bombs in Nevada but to suggest something similar for US space testing is blasphemous.
This i feel is justified. The starship launches that was already approved was halted due to someone saying the freshwater they use for the deliuge system is bad for the enviroment…
The case is practically pure bureaucracy nothing else will come of it other than everyone involved having to wait months for something that is already ready.
Good, We’re crippling our selves while other countires surge ahead. But by all means lets keep hobbling the only company putting our people in space AND bringing them back.
And people wonder why NASA wants two contractors on Commercial Crew.
> According to a “notice of proposed civil penalty,” the FAA clearly informed SpaceX on June 16, 2023, two days before the launch, that the agency “would not issue a modification” to the SpaceX license. SpaceX went ahead anyway.
SpaceX is an amazing company and I hope it continues doing great things, but this is just silly. They didn’t need to change anything before getting approval, they’ve been launching Falcon-9’s for 14 years. It was a choice the knowingly made, and now they’re upset because the FAA is using the stick to get them back in line.
Yes, I am well aware that the FAA is far slower than we all would like them to be. That doesn’t excuse SpaceX just ignoring the law.
Oh I’m sure this will speed everything up, lock the faa into legal battles for the next few years while publicly complaining they won’t just agree with everything you want to do
“You can’t hold me responsible for what I do with my giant explosive missile.”
I want a government so focused on The People that abusive billionaires like Elon have their companies nationalized, taxed for outsourcing labour and data (abroad and via AI), and they are prosecuted and suffer consequences for their crimes.
Stop giving this guy attention ffs. Can’t not see him because everyone loves to talk about him all the time.
Wasn’t there a guy with a submarine that was also anti-regulations? What did we learn from that? NOTHING!
Ask the people on the titan sub what they through about government overreach and safety regulations Elon…..
This is the man who wants to take out safety equipment from his factories….
I think suing federal agency is his favourite pastime, SpaceX has sued the Air Force a few times over NSSL launch contracting so this is a new target.
I think the FAA reaching and making sure people launching giant space rockets into the air, are doing it safely is the proper amount of reach
whenever space x does something good, it’s Gwynn
whenever they do something that ruffles people’s feathers, all of a sudden it’s Elon
Move 100 miles south and your problems go away. Make Mexico the #1 country for launching payloads.
Yawn just another rich jerk who thinks rules shouldn’t apply to him. We need a law that prevents such obscene wealth pooling around a single individual.
He knows that (1) this will take forever to be resolved and (2) is more likely than not going to go against him right?
Haha what a moron, you do not fuck with the FAA.
Musk bringing his political nonsense to spacex is the worst possible thing for the space industry
He’s done enough damage at Tesla and Twitter, just keep it there
Yeah, umm… the FAA has absolute regulatory control over civilian space launches. Go right ahead Elon, spend tens of millions of dollars suing the FAA only to discover at the end you still need to pay what is honestly a small fine all things considered.
this is project 2025, elimination of all federal agencies
“Hardcore Legal Team”
Which means it wont happen. Just more talk from Leon.
This is because of chevron doctrine being screwed by the court and we are going to see more of these come up
SpaceX needs to find a way to dump this moron, they are doing great things, but having elon attached to this in any way is a national security risk at this point.
With every case, there are two sides to the story. Given SpaceX is carrying passengers I would say appropriate regulation is prudent.
After Ocean-Gate Titan tragedy, everyone is criticizing Stockton for bypassing regulators. Now Elon is asking for less regulation.
We need something in the middle.
I think its good to challenge, but we need to ask ourselves, do we want Elon to contest regulation after he has broken the rules, or before?
When Musk first arrived on the scene, I was very impressed with him, the PayPal stuff, Tesla and emissions, SpaceX. Now? What a first class idiot he has become!! He must be doing way too many recreational drugs…
No wonder he’s riding Trump’s balls for a spot on a government efficiency committee. He doesn’t want his companies being regulated
Even if he has to take it to the supreme court , which he is currently paying forty five million a month for.

Oh… now he trusts in unnelected justice representatives?!
How dare they Administrate Aviation who do they think they are!!
Huh
Oh…
Ok
So a company that gets government handouts wants to sue the hand that feeds🤡🤬
Musk is costing the American taxpayer a lot of money.
