Enough with blaming racism and sexism every time a movie or a tv show doesnt catch on. Saying the Acolyte failed because of racists and sexists is like saying the green lantern failed because of anti-Semitism. I know Ryan Reynolds isnt Jewish, but its just as fucking stupid. IT was bad. The lord of the rings, is fucking boring. Star trek is too self referential and hasnt moved the franchise forward, star wars straight up sucks 80% of the time. Yes, even the stuff with straight white men in it.

Get rid of all the activists. They are ruining escapism in the arts. Just write, and have your characters be who you envision them to be. If thats a black gay women, fantastic. Cant wait to watch. Just dont making being black, gay and a woman her whole character and call sniff your own farts while telling us all you are challenging something. You aint challenging shit. Youre just throwing in a tick box character and looking for a pat on the back on social media.

Black people are more than just their skin colour.

Women are more than just whats between their legs.

LGBT people are more just who they sleep with.

And all of the above are more than just their traumas.

The culture wars are fucking stupid. No matter which side you are coming from. They are stupid. Theres loads of great tv and film staring women and people of colour and has been for decades. Black Panther wasnt the first black super hero, and Katniss fucking Everdeen wasnt the first female action hero in a lead role. Fucking stop it. Just write good stories and characters, hire the best people for the job. Just bring back the fun and the escapism and stop making everything try to trend on fucking twitter.
