Couldn’t you stow something like a nuke in one of those and avoid the launch signature?
Hell yeah, military money spent on space, my favorite thing to see it spent on. Into the black!
NASA doesn’t have $40M for the VIPER rover but the DoD can casually give out $100M for startups to duplicate studies on ballute reentry that have been going on for a while. Doesn’t make me happy, although I’m fine with them pursuing this goal overall.
So drop pods. As much as I worry where this is going, it sounds badass to hot drop space marines.
I hope they make them look like Planet Express ships.
