Chandrayaan-3 has detected over 250 seismic signals from the Moon’s south pole, including 50 possibly linked to moonquakes. This is the first seismic data from this lunar region since Apollo missions. The Instrument for Lunar Seismic Activity (ILSA) recorded these signals from August 24 to September 4, 2023. Of the 250 signals, 200 are tied to rover Pragyan’s operations, while 50 are unexplained, hinting at unknown lunar seismic activity.
