There’s no profit in trees so this is a useless post 😂🤣

Lol its a waste of an article. The cavemen here don’t believe in climate change.

Not just trees. Vertical gardens also works a treat.

Helped out some uni students a few years ago to prove that vertical gardens will cause a drop in temp. They picked a street lined with buildings, much like the average residential street you find in Malta, installed the gardens & took measurements during the following months. Avg temp was 4-8 degrees lower than the surrounding area. Best thing, zero maintenance. Aircon water was redirected to small pipes in the gardens which keeps it alive.

Response from the community was so positive, they started up a company & implementing it all over the country now.

Anyone who mention the great weather in malta needs to be butt fucked with a hit poker. It’s a polluted, tree less , concrete slab .. over population means more heat and more pollution .. and the ugliness of the country is shocking ..

Valletta was created by the knights and taken over by the british and has gardens, locked up for decades, mind you. Neither of these two was Maltese and you can see they actually understood beauty …

The concrete slab, horrific ugly abomination, polluted treeless hell hole that is the rest of malta is a 100% made in malta achievement.

  5. I think you misspelled “… had hit Malta hard”. When every summer is the hottest summer ever… “… will …” does not apply.

  6. Here’s an idea that politicians and developers will understand:

Old people are the most ardent voterbase and most likely to be swayed by a 2 euro pension increase or a cheque. The hotter malta gets, the faster they’ll die. Elections are once every 4 years. Keeping them alive as long as possible is in your career’s best interests.

No old people -> your career is is in jeopardy -> Developers have no yes men to greenlight their projects.

Literally opening a solo art exhibition about this topic next week at Spazju kreattiv. I’m the first one to admit that I migrated to the uk for climate reasons amongst others (can’t handle heat)

We have a limited time window to act but I don’t think it’s happening fast enough

Replace concrete with trees. What an outrageous idea. What kind of country does that journalist think this is.
