Anybody paying attention??! We left our climate models and are in uncharted territory. Better quickly work on sun shields or carbon capture technology bc we aren’t getting rid of fossil fuels anytime soon and the die has been cast already anyway

Our political leaders are so disconnected from what we, the people actually want that I simply see no hope here….right now there is a huge digger creating a foundation outside my apartment while our region is facing a huge water shortage and we are supposed to be rationing water….where is this new apartment water going to come from? No one knows all they want is the money 

I feel so crazy being concerned about this. When I suggest being more conscious about how much we consume I’m constantly told “well we aren’t the ones contributing to the majority of the waste it’s companies” which is completely true BUT we are the ones consuming their products. We have to consume less drastically. But apparently I’m not letting people live.

I want to go back to the 90s.

I live in the Harz region in Germany where it’s usually around 22-25°c in the summer and it’s so fucking unbearable hot this year it’s insane . We currently have our 6th heatwave this year and it’s the 5th day in a row with 30°c . Yesterday I ordered an hella expensive AC unit because my elderly mother collapsed from the ongoing heat , yesterday we still had 25°c after midnight .

I’m so desensitized to this shit at this point. Do what you can to clean up. Vote in people you trust to move us towards a greener future. However, I truly believe it’ll take a miracle worker to get us out of this mess.

It’s literally one of the coldest summers I can remember where I live. We had like two or three days above 30°.

Meanwhile animal humans keep doing nothing worth noticing to tackle this threat.
