    Gibt es in Norwegen Pläne, XL-Bullys zu verbieten?


    In Großbritannien wurde diese fiese, bösartige Rasse verboten, weil sie nicht aufhören konnte, an den Gesichtern der Leute zu knabbern. Ich fände es schrecklich, wenn sie auch in Norwegen populär würden.

      If it happens its probably well under way behind closed doors. Modifying and writing new laws can be really slow process in Norway.

      They’re a kind of pitbull, right? Pitbulls are already banned in Norway as far as I know (Amerikansk pitbullterrier).

      Edit: [Rasehund.no](http://Rasehund.no) says the breed is already forbidden in Norway.

      Hope so.

      Hopefully we don’t have to wait for one of these xl shitbulls to xl nanny dog a child to death before we ban them.

      Insecure people will have to find something other than an animal to show off they feel they are inadequate.

      Norway have 6 banned dog breeds, and while the “XL bully” isn’t a recognised breed in NKK, it is forbidden to own dogs that are specially aggressive, willing to fight or with other “strongly unwanted” features or behaviours.

      You can be forced to prove the dogs pedigree, and if the police are unsure about the origins of your dog, they can put it down or demand that it is taken out of the country.

      The Norwegian dog law is worth a read.

      It’s illegal to own pitbull or America staffordshire terrier. I am guessing they are in the mix and therefore they are illegal.

      Breed is already banned here. And seems like the posting on finn is already taken down

      It’s already illegal/banned in Norway due to it being a mix with american pit bull which is illegal/banned in Norway, but not all people follow this because they believe that xl bully is totally their own breed

      I haven’t seen anything directly banning it, but both American Pitbull Terriers and American Staffordshire Terriers are banned, as are any mutts with any percentage of APBT or Amstaff DNA.

      The American Bully is not recognised by the FCI, and therefore not the Norwegian Kennel Club (NKK) either – In their eyes, the American Bully is no more a breed than a labradoodle or a cavapoo, but rather a designer mutt.

      If the American Bully is bred with any percentage of APBT or Amstaff DNA, it’s up to the owner to prove that it doesn’t have any APBT or Amstaff DNA. If the owner cannot prove this, it is illegal, and the dog will likely get put down.

      I think this would be banned already if I am reading the facts and law correctly.
      According to Wikipedia the breeds foundation is the APTB:
      The [American Pit Bull Terrier](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Pit_Bull_Terrier) (APBT) was the foundation (parent breed) used to create the American Bully.

      The APTB is as far as I know already banned, as “Pitbullterrier” is banned, and as the law says any amount of mix with this breed in it:

      We prioritize banning and punishing cannabis and cocaine (unless it’s our politicians or royal family). Banning dog breeds is not at the top of the political agenda. It’ll take a few dead people and at least 4 years of legal bureaucracy before we will see that happening
