I sure love when countries act out like children – oh you bad boy you’re violating my air space, I’m going to send a balloon over you! Your ship gets too close to my ship, this is my economic zone, teehee, let’s ram ships!
The South China Sea isn’t disputed. International law is super clear.
“The US took the side of the Philippines, which it is [bound by treaty to defend](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/08/11/us-china-south-sea-conflict-defense-base-trade-taiwan/) in the case of attack”
This is an attack. put your money where your mouth is….
Isn’t this just another episode in the never-ending saga of “Who owns what in international waters?”
This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2024/09/01/us-condemns-china-ramming-philippine-coastguard-boats/) reduced by 80%. (I’m a bot)

> The US has condemned the "Dangerous and escalatory actions" of China following another confrontation at sea between Chinese and Philippine coast guard vessels.
> Both countries on Saturday accused each other of intentionally ramming into the other's vessel in the disputed waters of the South China Sea.
> China claims almost all of the South China Sea, including parts claimed by the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia, Taiwan and Vietnam, and Beijing has become increasingly assertive in pursuing its claims.

Philippines needs to get a couple ships with ice breaker rated bows and go to town.
They should have like a forum to sort this stuff out. Like a G-20 or UN.
Also China: *”We strongly protest all the countries banding together against our bullying.”*
The CCP just can’t stop burning bridges…
Paper Tiger China is not gonna like the find out phase when it happens.
I’d tell them…standing orders are to sink any ship that tries to ram one of our naval vessels…sorry guys.
Yeah, that’ll show them!
china’s stupidity is embarrassing.
Oh look kids, another display by the Chinese *Coast Guard* demonstrating how much they respect international law
These stern words must be having an impact by now?
How long until the next gulf of tonkin incident kicks off the pacific theater of WWIII
People just ram boats in the ocean?
