The problem, for him, is that before you could count on reaching people in an emergency when they’re not on call to respond to emergencies.

those who think their business takes precedence over your life need to wake up

treating employees as disposable is not ethical

On behalf of Canada, we’re sorry for unleashing this douche-canoe on the world.

If that employee is so important that they are trying to reach at 2am they are probably being paid a hefty salary right? Oh. They make $20 an hour. Ok. F right off.

Looks like Kevin’s wallet was disconnected from his heart and common sense. Guess the sharks only care about their own profits, not their employees’ well-being.

Looks like Kevin O’Leary’s “right to disconnect” is just code for “I need to constantly check my bank account”.

    >“This kind of stuff just makes me crazy, it’s so dumb.

    >“Who dreams this crap up?

    >“Why would anyone propose such a stupid idea?”

    >O’Leary was asked by Fox News host and former White House press secretary during the Trump administration Kayleigh McEnany what he would do if one of his employees told him they were “in silent mode”.

    >“The next moment is I just fire them,” O’Leary said.

    Wow, he’s malding.

Kevin is quite the example of stupidity encased in a pile of shit.

  9. Didn’t this shithead kill someone while drunk driving a boat and make his wife take the fall?

  10. Shark Tank, where ideas full of shyte go to get bought up and shut down by people who know people who don’t want competition.

I didn’t realize this wasn’t a thing. I went through my entire science and regulatory / consulting career in this mode without realizing it wasn’t standard. I might answer my phone, “Yeah, see you Monday.”

  12. You think Kevin is creepy, you should meet his CEO Paul Palandjian of O’Leary Ventures. Kevin and him share the same mannerisms like they copied each other not to mention the overdone plastic surgery that gives Paul a very Uncanny Valley look. These people are freaks and they are sucking the lower classes dry for their stupid unquenchable need for more wealth.

Kevin is a bad investor. he made a fortune screwing over his partners and the Canadian government. Since then he’s mostly lost money, his and other people’s.

He had to close his hedge fund O’Shares because everyone wanted their money back (what was left of it)

This guy is a media clown, nothing more.

  14. This is the guy who drove his boat drunk and killed people, remember that. Kevin O’Leary killed people while drunk driving a boat.

Kevin O’Leary killed people while drunk driving.

Kevin O’Leary is responsible for the deaths of innocent people due to his drunken operation of a boat.

Agreed. There are problems with every society. In China , India , Russia … there are pros and cons for each. In the US it’s greed. Money is the root of evil in the US.

Might have to pay people to work when you want people available to work. Sad.

  17. “The purpose of other people is to make me wealthy.”

    – Kevin, probably

    He’s Canadian and I am
Embarrassed. He killed boaters while driving his boat drunk right? That was him?

“If someone did that I would fire them.”

I love how he just demonstrated, on live TV, why laws like this are necessary.
