  1. You don’t need an adapted, just connect wires directly. You may need some additional wire though.

(Your lamp.is not really visible, need to guess)

You may want to call an electrician or find a guy who has the knowledge to do this kind of small electrical installation

Take out the relevant fuses & make sure there’s no electricity in the wires.

There are three wires. One is usually green and striped with some other color. That’s the ground. If your lamp has three wires, one of them should look similar and you connect it to the ground. The other two are connected to the other two wires, how does not matter in this case.

You can use the already provided plastic bits to connect the wirse. The red ones are clip on, the white one requires a screwdriver.

The Ikea lamp does not connect to ground. Just take the red clamps off from brown (L) nd blue wire (N) and connect then directly to the lamp connections to the corresponding letters that you see on the green circuit board on the lamp body. Most old appartments do not have the lamp outlet box that the cable connector you are holding connects to.

:Edit: you need to screw off the plate in the ceiling as it has a hanging loop that will be in the way of installing that lamp body
Also make sure to remove / close the circuit breaker for the lamps. Just shutting off the light switch works too but is never 100% safe and you need to know which position is off and which is on

  5. I just called the apartment’s maintenance company and they sent an electrician to swap out the old fixtures.
