Russia has redeployed some of its troops from southern Ukraine to help fight off Kyiv’s incursion into Kursk region, Ukraine army chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said, adding the operation has seen “some success.”

Russia moved about 30,000 of its troops to Kursk region, Syrskyi told journalists Tuesday at a news conference, though he didn’t clarify how many of these forces were redeployed from Ukraine.

Syrskyi said that Moscow is still keeping its most capable soldiers for its push into the Donetsk region in Ukraine’s east where it seeks to capture the town of Pokrovsk, an important logistics hub for Kyiv’s forces.

If you asked me in say 2021 how stodgy and inflexible the russian army was I would have said VERY, but even I wouldn’t have thought they would struggle THIS damn hard. This is one of those things military analysts are going to pour over for decades. But also likely to little avail as the next russia will, like russia themselves, fail to get the message in time.

Oleksandr my dude I hope you know what you’re doing… after Kyiv and Kharkiv and Kursk I have no reason to believe that you’re anything less than a mastermind but I shit my pants every time regardless. Good thing I’m not a military commander, that ship would sink fast.

  4. Good, now they get to be killed in Russia rather than having to die in Ukraine and create the hassle of shipping the dead Mobiks back to Russia.

Stay strong and hit the Russians where they are weak! Putin claimed he needed to invade Ukraine to protect Russia, but his generals didn’t even bother to station enough troops to protect Russia itself! Russia is just trying to get its empire back.

Sounds like the plan is working. Hopefully this makes the Russian lines in the east stall completely.

So hopefully Ukraine can finally make a push back into their territories.

It’s as if Russia didn’t have contingency planning for any type of scenario that might arise from invading Ukraine. Everything shoddy logistical support, proper manning levels and border reinforcement seemed to not been discussed, planned or gone over at any level.

It is not really that surprising that they might to do this since is it not kind of late? After Russia broke through in multiple places that we heard of since that they can now spare the troops? It is supposed to be a good thing but it doesn’t feel like that to me if you are clutching at straws or grasping at straws it doesn’t look good it is deeply worrying.
