well according to their informations you moved out without doing an Abmeldung / Ummeldung.

you need to answer them. if you’re still living their you should tell them

The most probable reason for this if you did not move is that some mail (very possibly from your bank) did not reach you so the sender of the mail asked the local authority for your new address. If this happens and they still have you listed as registered at your address without having moved they may send you such a letter to ask / find out if you moved.

There could be other reasons as well, though. The most probable reason is that someone tried to reach you and could not, in some way.

If you still live at the address mentioned in the letter I would contact them and tell them you still live there and ask for the reason why they ask so you can clear this up with whoever has initiated it.

I would potentially also check with SCHUFA if they have your correct address.

  3. They got a hint ( a government office is trying i reach you, i think) that you (assuming this letter is addressed to you) moved out. They want you to inform them if that is the case (and if yes, what your new adress is) or if that is not the case.

They inform you that you are legally obliged to share this information with them.

    For an answer, use page 2 ( i assume it’s a form?).

If you don’t answer, that can be punished with a fine.

Fill out the form, send and email, and call them to make sure they get that information.

  4. Is your name tag at the doorbell or letterbox missing, illegible, or somewhat hidden?

Someone requested the office that sent you the letter to find out where you live — most likely because they couldn’t “find” you at your known/registered address. Now that office wants to know if you still live there, or have moved but neglected to register your new address.

You can simply reply that you still live there. The form on the back side or second sheet of paper should have a box to that effect you can tick.

Hard to say, maybe a letter from your municipality was returned due to “unknown recipient”

However, they ask for an answer. If you don’t answer, they will deregister you.
