  5. The shiny spots you see here in these images are due to post-processing techniques used to process the satellite image.

    The satellite images undergo radiometric correction, which includes sensor calibration, geometric, and atmospheric correction. In simple words, adjusting the pixel value to represent the observed surface.

    While these algorithms are optimized for land surfaces, the complex reflective nature of water often leads to artifacts.

    Essentially, the ocean’s way of saying, “I’m too cool for these sensors to keep up!” 🌊✨
