Waiting for the “it was an operation, not an invasion” comments

No offense but, why did the dude with the beard kept both Greek Officers in National Guard and Eldyk on island during the Greek junta?

At least the Juntas spectacular failure in Cyprus led to their downfall in Greece. Sucks that Cyprus pays the price for their hubris.

People also need to remember the involvement of the CIA and the US. How Ioannidis was a literal puppet of the Americans to solve the problems Cyprus was causing between the two NATO Allies (Greece and Turkey) during the pinnacle of the Cold War. Karamanlis was not any better btw. Traitors both of them to the American interests.

And still the eoka b mentality rules in cyprus… from left to right their dominance is visible an independent state raises another country’s flag like the puppet regime in the north and the pretext is “constitution “ I can’t get when anything to the with Turkish Cypriots (language, rights) always limited the state of exception while anything Greek sustains itself even they recklessly fucked up cyprus… sometimes even hard for me to grasp what kind of patriotism the progressives talk about as they salute Greek flag in each state department.

An absolute betrayal of the highest degree and all the junta members (and their CIA counterparts) deserved to be hanged for their crimes against the people of Greece and Cyprus
