    The [Islamic State](https://www.wired.com/2016/03/isis-winning-social-media-war-heres-beat/) has created fake videos mimicking the look and feel of mainstream news outlets CNN and Al Jazeera, according to a [new report from the Institute for Strategic Dialogue](https://www.isdglobal.org/digital_dispatches/cnn-the-caliphate-news-network-is-support-groups-hiding-behind-faux-media-giant-social-accounts/) shared exclusively with WIRED.

    One video focused on giving ISIS credit for a terror attack that Russian disinformation blamed on Ukraine. “It was essentially fake news to debunk fake news,” says an expert.
